Meet the Musicians

           Our 'RESUMES', if you will:  Brief, individual biographies of our highly- talented, versatile crew!

           

LEE-ANN - (Lead & Background Vocals, Percussion)              

Lee-Ann has been singing just about all her life in various venues. Vocally trained in both classical and Broadway vocal styles, she has a wide soprano and alto range and also an alto 'belt', allowing her to sing in a wide variety of genres from all decades. She is a lover of all kinds of pop and rock music. Lee-Ann also plays piano, acoustic guitar and small percussion, adding to the instrumentals of the band where needed.

Lee-Ann also sings professionally as a member of 'Mixed Company', a 4-part harmony a-cappella mixed quartet and is a registered member of Sweet Adeline International. She has a theater background as well, and has performed in numerous musicals produced by Middlesex County Plays-in-the-Park amphitheater productions, as well as being a featured soloist at the Strand Theater in Lakewood, N.J.
 

           

 

RIKK  -  (Bass, Lead & Background Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar)

Whether Motown, rock, jazz, up-tempo or ballad, Rikk can both SING it AND put some BOTTOM on it! He has been involved with music for most of his life. He has an ear for both vocal and instrumental arrangement, and LOVES to perform! He has been a producer (Y-n-A Music, along with his partner) and studio musician working with many Sony/BMI/ASCAP recording artists and songwriting teams across the globe. During the 80's & 90's, Rikk worked with people like Duran Duran, the Grammy nominated Skatellites, the Celine Dion, Kara DioGuardi [of Avril Lavigne, Ashley Simpson and Kelly Clarkson] songwriting teams, and Rupert Holmes (YES! the Pina Colada guy!). He is a veteran performer in the tri-state area playing with rock bands, pop cover bands and original bands, and did we mention he is also a first-call recording studio bassist!  During the day he runs his own business, AND his own recording studio in the metro NY area.
 

                    

 

ROBBIE  - (Drums)

Robbie has been drumming since just a young thing!  He has studied drums and percussion with the best pro drummers the metro New York area has to offer, and has performed for a variety of performing & recording bands since 1973. He has taught drums and percussion for many years, and maintains a busy teaching schedule out of his teaching studio which he owns and operates. He also owns and operates his own, state-of-the-art digital recording studio. When not performing or teaching, Rob manages a company that manufactures and markets musical products all over the world! He has been performing professionally for well over 20 years.  

            

 

ALAN - (All Reeds, Lead & Background Vocals)

Alan holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education, in addition to NJ Professional Music Teaching credentials. Name a reed instrument. ANY reed instrument. Alan can play it:  Soprano, Alto, and Tenor Saxes, Clarinet, and the Flute to Boot! (Hey...that RHYMES!!). If he's not playing one of those instruments, he may be singing lead. Or, he may be singing backup.  If he's not singing, he may be writing out a horn part or two.  Or, you get the picture.......the list goes on and on. Did I mention the VERSATILITY thing??? He has been performing professionally for over 30 years.

           

 

MIKE  -  (Multi-Keyboards, Lead & Background Vocals)

Who might you think we turn to for some sweet violin parts, or maybe even a poignant, dark sounding cello sound, or how 'bout a nice honky-tonk piano sound? How about HUNDREDS of different sounds? That would, of course, be our multi-keyboardist & sound synthesist Michael. In addition to the keyboards, Mike adds occasional lead and background vocals. He was weaned on a steady diet of music from many different genres since literally an infant, as many of his family members were musicians. (It must be GENETIC then!). He has served as both a performer and teacher, vocalist, choir-member (at places like Carnegie Hall!), and accompanist . Versed not only in Pop & Rock, he also has serious Classical & Country influences. He has performed professionally throughout much of New Jersey with a variety of Pop & Rock bands.

           

 

TY - (Guitar, Trumpet, Background Vocals)

'Ty' has performed on Trumpet, Guitar, &  Bass with a variety of bands since 1969. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Composition from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, and is the founder of the band. In addition to Guitar, Trumpet,  & occasional vocals, Ty does much of the arranging for the band.  He has toured throughout the Northeast, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, NJ, NY, and New England. His commercial jingles, which he composed, arranged, and produced through his production company and others, have aired in major advertising markets, including NYC, Boston, & Philadelphia. In addition to performing, he composes, arranges, produces and records original music for just about any application you can imagine. Since his early teens, he has performed at countless clubs, banquets, parties, festivals, receptions, concerts and formal affairs in venues from Boston, to NY, to Chicago, to the Jersey Shore.
